1999 Workshop participants Dan and Suzie Maher are owner-managers of Affirmations, a successful export business based in Bellingen, NSW. Affirmations publishes inspirational greeting cards and stationery.

Since completing the Workshop program in 1996, Neil Anderson founded CathRx, now an ASX publicly listed medical device company. Neil led the company through a venture capital funding round in 2003 and listed on the Australian Stock Exchange in 2005. Today CathRx has a market capitalisation of over $70 million and employs more than 30 people.

Ian and Jeanette Crafter, Atlex Stockyards, participated in the Workshop in 1995. Atlex designs, manufactures and installs livestock handling systems at feedlots, abattoirs and saleyards around Australia.

Andrew McDonald Shoes specialises in manufacturing boutique and custom made shoes. With an expanding business, Andrew entered the Workshop in 2002 to analyse his business and find the best way to move forward.

LX Innovations is a contract electronics design company, specialising in the design of embedded systems and wireless technologies. Simon Blyth, a participant in the 2004 NSW Enterprise Workshop leads the company.

2003 Workshop participant and UNSW Associate Professor Graham Bell is transforming laboratory results into a successful technology business. His company, E-Nose Pty Ltd, specialises in developing industry-specific devices for continuous monitoring of airborne chemicals in real-time.

In the second half of 2008 I had the privilege of completing the NSW Enterprise Workshop which is a 5 month course designed to promote the establishment of new businesses and growth of existing businesses. It achieves this through training sessions on all aspects of running a business including marketing strategies, project management, risk analysis, finance, capital raising, presentation skills, market research, business structure and taxation issues, just to name a few!

Wirasoft is an IT consulting company that was founded by Rudolf Wirawan in 2002. Since completing the Workshop in 2003 Wirasoft has successfully provided a range of consulting services such as integrating business enterprise systems; designing and implementing web applications; and providing corporate training.

Ear, Nose and Throat Specialist, Dr Peter Winkler, participated in the NSW Enterprise Workshop in 2008 to gain business development skills to commercialise the TIPA Tinnitus Treatment Device he had invented.

Career scientist, Professor Graham Bell participated in the Workshop in 2003 to gain skills needed to commercialise the inventions of his research group. He is now Managing Director of E-Nose Pty Ltd.

2006 Enterprise Workshop team Red Lizard Software have announced that its Goanna testing and debugging software has been launched as part of Microsoft's recently released Visual Studio 2010 for Windows!

2002 Workshop Team Biometix won the 'Award for Most Innovative Technology' at the 2010 Security Summit run by the Security Network, a California-based organisation that seeks to advance security by fostering innovation through collaboration worldwide.
