Kids Up Front Wins Award for Best Operations Plan

Mosman based small business Kids Up Front won the Award for Best Operations Plan in the Autumn program of the NSW Enterprise Workshop. The team looked at how their business of after school drama classes could be expanded into pre-schools and holiday camps. The Kids Up Front Team comprised of Karin Clifford, Teri Moore and Mark Sponberg. The winning teams were selected by an independent panel of senior business people.

Chief of Judges Garry Dinnie stated, “There was a very high caliber of business plans submitted. The participants of the Winter program worked hard to produce a quality and effective document.”

At the awards Dinner Kids Up Front founder and owner Karin Clifford said, “Completing the NSW Enterprise Workshop has given me the opportunity and confidence to take my business to a new level. Through the mentoring program I have been guided and helped by experienced people in the business community and have made some invaluable connections.”

Karin Clifford started the Kids Up Front in Mosman Public school in 1998 and the business has steadily grown since then. The Kids Up Front team provides after school drama lessons and holiday camps. Kids Up Front is currently in 17 schools across Sydney with 9 based in the north shore.

For more than 20 years, the NSW Enterprise Workshop has helped create and develop successful businesses. Senior business people volunteer their time and expertise as speakers, mentors and review panellists to guide participants through a structured business analysis and planning process to prepare high quality business plans. These plans can be used to support applications for development financing and to help manae the business into the future.
